BOOK REVIEWS

Nothing's better than a good book. Books can take you to faraway places, stimulate your imagination, open your eyes and make you look at the world in a whole new way. Plus, reading and writing go hand-in-hand -- to be a good writer, you need to be a good reader, too. It's good to try using some of your favorite authors' writing techniques in your own work -- for example, do you like lots of dialogue? short, concise sentence structure? a fast-paced action-packed plot? Sometimes it's best to try writing in a way that you would most like to read yourself.

Are you ready to get lost in a book? I thought so. Here's a few good reads to get you started.

* Have you read a book lately that you can't stop thinking about? Then why don't you write a book review! Send it to me at dallaswoodburn@aol.com and it might be published right here on this page!
